Weekly photo challenge: reflections

Are We One and the Same?

With Christmas just around the corner, I decided to take this picture above to represent Reflections. Now, what does a simple candlelight with its reflection in the water signify, you may ask? Well, it represents our being, who we are, our Light. And this light is reflected and expressed through our actions, words, dreams, and who we love. However, take a look at the reflection; it’s distorted. When we look into a mirror, we may not always like what we see. It may even terrify us. But, truth is, when most people look into that mirror and suddenly become afraid, it’s about the past that haunts us, as well as what the future may bring. So as the holiday brings itself along, renew your present and create a reflection, an Afterimage, that is both appealing to you and those surrounding your everyday lives. And like always, if you do see yourself in one of these pictures and would like to have it taken down for personal reasons, please comment and I’ll be happy to do so.
