Someday, someone will walk into your life and make you realize why it never worked out with anyone else. While marriage is the state of being married, the act of marrying is simply the bond that seals two individuals’ love for each other. It is nothing but a special ceremony, which begs the question: what is marriage then? Marriage is in fact the lifelong relationship between a husband and wife; the Golden Hour, if you will. It is the beginning of a new chapter in one’s life, but this time with someone by your side. And although the road of life twists and turn, our lessons come from the journey, not the destination. Along this path will surely come struggles, conflicts, and pain, but those notions are miniscule compared to marriage’s joy, laughter, and perhaps, even its silence when you hold your first baby child. F. Burton Howard once wrote that if you want something to last forever, you treat it differently. You shield it and protect it. You never abuse it. You don’t expose it to the elements. You don’t make it common or ordinary. If it ever becomes tarnished, you lovingly polish it until it gleams like new. It becomes special because you have made it so, and it grows more beautiful and precious as time goes by. Quite simply, only with time do we begin to see how precious and fragile our loved ones are, but why not start now and don’t consider anything, or anyone, for granted. Love isn’t who you can see yourself with. It’s who you can’t see yourself without. ~ Jared Leto. As always, if you do see yourself in one of these pictures and would like to have it taken down for personal reasons, please comment and I’ll be happy to do so.
