Weekly photo challenge: beginning

Writing Your Own Story

Whether the first page of a new book, an empty canvas for a painting, or the Beginning chapter of a fresh start in life, we write our own story, our future. Indeed, our paths may have already been written out for us, but even so, we still choose which journey to take within that path, for there are countless of ways to reach a destination, to experience life itself. It’s not enough to simply daydream or fantasize about what could be. While the above image is a photograph of a blank journal, in reality, close that book and start anew, because in truth, we were not meant to dream, live, and then die; we were meant to dream big, live life to its fullest, and die, knowing that we have left a legacy.Β To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life. ~ The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013). If you do see yourself in one of these pictures and would like to have it taken down for personal reasons, please comment and I’ll be happy to do so.

  6. LOVE this blank journal – and it is very dear to my heart because journaling has been an escape (or a beginning – as you note) so many times throughout the year – anyhow, this is one of those simply sensational items – and I also like how you left a lot of the wood table around the (spiral) notebook – and the top edge is nicely lined up with a line in the wood – nice touch.

  7. Good thoughts, and I love the beginnings too: of a year, month, week, … a journal, etc. Good photo for theme.
